1.About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and BIOPRIUM (“BIOPRIUM”, “we”, “us”). If you use the website for an organization, you agree to them for that organization and confirm you have authority to do so. Our privacy notice explains how we handle your information.
The BIOPRIUM platform is not yet available to the public. Access to it, when it is, will be governed by a separate written agreement.
2.What the website is
The website gives information about BIOPRIUM, an early-stage genomics technology company, and lets you contact us, ask about subscriptions, follow our news and create an account.
BIOPRIUM does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Nothing on the website is a substitute for the judgment of a qualified healthcare professional.
Parts of the website describe capabilities under development. They are not currently available, have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA or any other regulator, and may change or never be completed.
3.Who can use it
You must be 18 or older to create an account, and you must not be barred from using the website by sanctions or export laws.
4.Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the website or other people at risk.
5.No patient or genetic data
Do not send us protected health information, identifiable genetic data or any patient-derived file through the website, its forms or by email. The website is not built to receive it. If you send it anyway, we will not use it, we will delete it, and we may close your account.
6.Acceptable use
When you use the website, you must not:
- break any law, or help anyone else do so;
- probe, test or get around the website’s security, bot checks or access controls;
- overload or disrupt the website, or collect its content by automated means, except search engines indexing it;
- send malware, spam, or anything you have no right to send;
- pretend to be someone else, or misrepresent your connection with anyone;
- use anything from the website to support heritable human genome editing, the development of biological weapons, identifying people from genetic information, or discrimination based on genetic information.
7.Subscriptions and inquiries
The subscription packages on the website describe what we plan to offer. They are not offers you can accept. Sending an inquiry does not create a contract or commit either of us to anything. Any access to data or services will be under a separate written agreement signed by both of us, and that agreement will control.
8.Our content
The website and its content, including the BIOPRIUM, THREAD and ARIADNE names and logos, belong to BIOPRIUM or to the people who licensed them to us. You may view and share pages for your own, non-commercial use. Please ask us before using our names, logos or other content in any other way.
9.Feedback
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.
10.Other websites and services
The website links to other sites, such as LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook, and lets you sign in with Google. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
11.Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, the website is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that it will always be available or error-free, or that its content is complete, accurate or current.
12.Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the website. Our total liability to you for any claim about the website is limited to US$100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
13.Your responsibility for misuse
If a claim is brought against us because you broke these terms or misused the website, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
14.Changes and ending access
We may change, pause or stop any part of the website at any time. We may update these terms; when we do, we will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will give notice on the website or by email. If you keep using the website after a change, the new terms apply.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections 5, 8 and 11 through 15 continue to apply after your access ends.
15.Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which BIOPRIUM is organized, without regard to conflict of law rules. Nothing in them takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.
If you have a problem with the website, please email us first and give us a chance to put it right. Most concerns can be resolved that way.
